Tyler, the Creator be creating again, this time for Louis Vuitton as Pharrell welcomes his first collaborator as the Maison's creative director.

Tyler, the Creator’s Louis Vuitton collection, which will arrive as a part of the house’s Spring 2024 collection, expands on Pharrell's LVERS community: an artistic network connected by an appreciation for the discernment and craftsmanship core to Louis Vuitton.

Comprising everything from golf kits and a grass-effect fleeces, to a new hand-drawn take on the classic LV monogram billed “the Craggy Monogram that features on pieces like a chocolate down jacket, a vanilla windbreaker, and a denim jacket with matching denim pants and denim dungaree.

As expected, Tyler's LV debut isn’t your typical collaboration.

Alongside a range of colorful apparel and spenny accessories (like a €210 pocket square), Tyler’s LV collection also features more unorthodox products like a cereal bowl, a chess board, dog-shaped bags, and a special edition Courrier Lozine 110 trunk that will retail for €68,000.

(Expensive, sure, but a lot more affordable than that Pharrell Speedy Bag!)

Then there's the footwear. The lovely, lovely footwear. First up there's the LV Dandy a loafer with craggy seams, and the LV Waves, a derby boot that arrives in baby blue or pink and comes with an embossed Monogram nubuck set on a craggy micro sole.

The LV Waffle slide mimics the dessert while the LV Flower, an opulent-yet-wavy sandal, is adorned with icing-like Louis Vuitton letters.

“My main focus was making things I would wear all the time," said Tyler. "I dress the same in a meeting as I do a performance or grocery store trip, so hand drawing the monogram felt like the perfect balance to me.

"The chessboard is one of the greatest things I've made and is definitely my favorite thing from the collection. The team was great to work with, it kinda felt like 'Big' with Tom Hanks. P has always left a door open for me, but I still can’t believe this one.”

Long time fans of Tyler, the Creator will of course be well aware that this isn’t his first Louis Vuitton rodeo.

Back in 2022, the Golf Wang designer scored Virgil Abloh’s final Louis Vuitton collection in Paris, before zipping down the runway on a bicycle.

When it comes to designing an actual collection for LV, though, Spring 2024 will be his first and, if his work under his Golf Wang label is anything to go by, we’re going to be in for a treat.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

On the one hand you have Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton that, since his arrival, hasn’t put a foot wrong. And Tyler, a artist-cum-designer that’s perhaps one of the most liked creatives in the game right now.

Fusing the two together is a stroke of genius from Pharrell. But, then again, what else did you expect?
